Mogadishu, Somalia – Today, Oxfam Somalia held a kickoff meeting for the new project titled "Multi-Sectoral Intervention in Response to the Humanitarian Crisis and Environmental Emergencies in Somalia," funded by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation. Participants included the program team from Oxfam Somalia, representatives from ZamZam Foundation, and staff from Oxfam Italy.
The project aims to improve the living conditions of the most vulnerable crisis-affected populations, particularly women and youth, in the regions of Bardhere, Lascanod, and Baledweyn. The kickoff meeting took place today in Mogadishu, Somalia, seeking to enhance the resilience of vulnerable communities facing ongoing humanitarian crises and environmental challenges.

Participants included the program team from Oxfam Somalia, representatives from ZamZam Foundation, and staff from Oxfam Italy.
During the meeting, participants familiarized themselves with AICS management procedures, the signed agreement, compliance requirements, and internal ways of working (WoWs). Key programmatic aspects of the grant were discussed, focusing on vulnerability and targeting, as well as the commitment to inclusion concerning gender, age, and disability.
